Six Month Challenge: End of Week 11

07 – 13 February 2021

Soooo, I lost my job on Thursday of this week. I was upset about it at first but now I am so incredibly happy that I am free of that place. I was so unhappy, stressed out, and I have changed as a human being since I started. I am no longer to the woman they hired. I no longer matched that type of environment. I’m glad I got fired because I was trying to leave and I would have only left if I had another “safe” job to go to.

Now, in the last five days, I’ve been really aware of what I want, not what society tells me I have to do. I sat down and wrote out what I wanted in my next professional setting. I meditated on who I am now and what environment and culture I want to work in on a daily basis. I’ve also explored options that aren’t even in what I am known for. Will I go down that route… probably not, but it’s been fun to explore.

Life is short. We shouldn’t be shoved into cubicles and made to perform like monkeys. I’m grateful for this time to try out a couple things and see if they might be for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not rich and have bills to pay just like everyone else, but I’m at a point where I’m going to make decisions that not only benefit the other person.

I’m not going back to being 309+ pounds. I’m not going back to working 80 hour weeks. I’m not sacrificing my health for a bottom line.

Okay so here are the deets from the week:

Workouts

My workouts are going really well. I’m feeling really strong and I’m seeing my muscles start to show on my arms. Ughhh I’m so happy about it. I’m really starting to love being strong AF and I’m proud of my progress thus far!!

Weight

Actual weight this week was: 226.9

Goal Weight to hit this week: 215

I was aiming for 215 this week.. but not really now. 215 was projected in the middle of November when I was trying to lose 4 pounds a week for six months straight.. to get to a number now that I know isn’t healthy for me. So next week, you’re going to see a number that is higher and I want you to realize that I’m doing this for me to be healthy. While I thought that 147 was a number that I could get to and be healthy… it’s not. I’m never going to diet or run myself into the ground to hit a number on the scale. I am doing this journey for me and to be true to myself and my body, I am going to honor what God gave me to work with. God/the Universe made me short and stout and strong AF so that’s what I’m going to be.
