Six Month Challenge: End of Week Two

Holy moly this week went by so much faster than last week. I have been feeling really good about my food, I found a good mix of food that I can eat and that I really enjoy. I like that I can incorporate fruit into my nutrition plan because the focus is just on macros, not on limiting the types of foods you can eat. If I want cake (I don’t eat cake) it just has to fit into my macros for the day.

I’ve been doing all I can to eat real foods, nothing processed and I’ve cut out all dairy because I’m lactose intolerant. As much as I freaking love cheese I love not having my stomach turned upside down with three days of bloating for it. Since I stopped eating it, I don’t actually miss it. So I started to wonder how much of it is actually taste and how much is the societal hype of cheese? Not sure, but my mind went to this weird philosophical place on that one.

I’m still struggling with a little bit of sadness from liking a guy that doesn’t like me back. There’s not a lot about it to tell, but I’ve been listening to super upbeat music, dance partying in the kitchen, and distracting myself with anything I possibly can.

I cried half the drive home over thanksgiving weekend because of that, but part of it too is that I just want this weight gone so that I can know that my weight isn’t the first and main reason someone is judging me. Don’t get me wrong, I know you’re never going to be everyone’s cup of tea… but I at least want to be my own cup of tea.

Food

I did the same food plan as last week because I really enjoyed it and I didn’t really have time to plan something else. I didn’t get tired of it, but I need to shake things up a bit more next week.

Breakfast
  • 5 eggs
  • Medium Pink Grapefruit
Lunch
  • 200g chicken with a little taco seasoning
  • 1 medium flour tortilla
  • 100g strawberries
  • 200g cottage cheese
Dinner
  • 200g top sirloin steak (from ButcherBox)
  • 1 medium Fuji Apple

Workouts

Workouts were good, I had to skip my CrossFit workout on Tuesday because I had a wax appointment and you aren’t allowed to raise your heart rate for 24-hours after that. I should have gone to an earlier class but my day was packed and was just living out of my calendar hour by hour.
