Six Month Challenge: End of Week Three

13 – 19 December 2020

This week isn’t going as fast as last week, but next week is a half week and I can’t wait until the break. I’m so in the mood to just have some freaking time to myself I can’t stand it. I finally finished an order for my personal company and got that shipped out. I always get really nervous about sending out things that are handmade by me. I think it’s just because I do it all the time and I am so analytical about it where people just enjoy what I make.

I’ve noticed my day job has just gotten so incredibly boring for me. I’m not sure why, but I can see my focus really shifting. I love meeting people and talking with them but I hate pleasing people. I’m really straightforward and I don’t like to sugar coat things. In my job, there is a lot of doing what certain people want even though they don’t have the education or experience. This is extremely frustrating to me and adds a lot of unnecessary stress to my life.

My hope is to leave the industry in the next year. I know that will require a lot of work on my part in 2021 to make a name for myself in what I do on the side, but it’s possible. We only get this one life and I don’t want to wake up at 60 and have lived my life in a cubical. I want to spend the next 24 years doing what I love. A trade that has been passed down through the generations of my family. I want to meet people and make things for them that will become traditions and heirlooms in their families.

I always get so passionate when I talk about it. This is why I know it’s the direction I need to move in. Like I said it’s going to be a lot of work but something that is totally doable.

Okay so here are the deets from the week:

Food

Food this week has been a little bit of a struggle. Sunday I had 5 eggs and a Filiberto’s Carne Asada burrito… Monday… I might have eaten the same thing with an apple for dinner. Tuesday wasn’t much better with 5 eggs, a Shamrock Protein Shake, and 200g of 90/10 hamburger on a tortilla with an apple for dinner. I needed to get my shit together. Soo starting Wednesday here is my food breakdown.

Breakfast
  • 5 eggs
  • Medium Pink Grapefruit
Lunch
  • 200g chicken with a little taco seasoning
  • 1 medium flour tortilla
  • 100g strawberries
  • 200g cottage cheese
Dinner
  • 200g top sirloin steak (from ButcherBox)
  • 1 medium Fuji Apple

Workouts

Workouts this week have been tough. They are equally hard strength and cardio, Monday we had power cleans, hang cleans, and push presses with wall balls at the top of every minute. Tuesday we had kettlebell swings, goblet squats, and handstand push-ups which I can’t do so I had to do Seated L Presses.

Tuesday through Saturday the workouts didn’t get any easier! We did these sets of weightlifting where you start off with really a heavy weight and do 2 reps, take weight off do 4 reps, take weight off 8 reps, take weight off 16 reps, take weight off max reps. OH. MY. GAWWWWDD. Seriously, my arms one day and my legs the next were so sore. My quads for a few days have been so tight and sore in the best way possible.

The cardio portion of the workouts were hard too. There were a lot of AMRAPs this week. I’m really proud though I only had to scale just a little bit of the workouts.

Weight

Actual weight this week was: 247.1

Goal Weight to hit this week: 247
