The last two weeks of my life have been filled with new foods and the removal of others. The most noticeable? Cheese. That’s right. That oooie gooey, stringy, greasy good stuff is gone. Out of my life. I do miss you mozzarella, pepper jack and longhorn.
Another thing I thought was going to give me a lot of trouble removing was pop. From September to December of 2013, I was so busy and stressed out at work that I wouldn’t even think about drinking 2-4 Coca-Colas within a 10 hour period. That’s a lot of calories, a lot of sugar and a lot of other things that didn’t need to be in my body.
It’s not as hard as I thought it was going to be though. The food portion has been relatively easy and my body has been craving the water. It just takes time to prepare all of it and there is a lot of it but I made it through my first two weeks.
Next week some foods are changing while some stay the same. I am a bit nervous because there are a few foods I’ve actually never eaten before so this should be interesting.
One of the new foods is Halibut. I’m sorry what exactly is that? I know it’s a fish, but what does it look like? How do I cook it? What do I season it with? Thank God for Google.
