Ingredients
- Italian Bread
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin avocado oil
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan
- 1 pound thin-cut steak of your choice
- 1 red onion, cut into slices then in half
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 5 ounces romaine, chopped
- Butter
- Garlic Powder
- Coarse salt
- Ground pepper
Directions
-
Preheat oven to broil. Slice the Italian bread, butter one side, and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and parmesan.
-
Heat a grill pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high. Season steak with salt and pepper.
-
Add onions with 1 teaspoon oil and season with salt and pepper.
-
Grill steak and onions until the steak is to the desired finish and onions are tender. This should be about 5 to 7 minutes, flipping once. Let steak rest 5 minutes before thinly slicing against the grain.
-
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk together mustard, vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of oil. Add romaine and season with salt and pepper. Add onions, steak and toss. Serve immediately.
