Week two wasn’t too bad. I didn’t have to go to the grocery store which was a bonus. I’m definitely eating a lot less than I ever thought I could and I’m full. That is also surprising. I used to believe that I had to eat a lot to get through the day. I don’t. Most of it was an emotional attachment to food, boredom or some other stupid reason. I still do eat emotionally, but instead of shoving a Big Mac in my mouth, I eat a banana with peanut butter.

My breakfasts include 2 eggs and either toast with blackberry spread or sausage. It is just enough to fill me up and last through the morning. I don’t do a mid-morning snack, I try to drink a lot of water in between breakfast and lunch. At lunch, I make my Shakeology and add a green, a banana, the second fruit with peanut butter and flaxseed.

In the afternoon, I have to have a snack at about 3 pm. I don’t know what it is but 3 pm hits and I turn into this monster in search of food. I’ve gotten good at food prepping for this. I take an apple, 2 string cheeses and 1oz of raw almonds (no salt). Then for dinner, it’s mostly a meat and vegetables.

I’ve found keeping my snacks and lunches the same every day has helped tremendously in eating correctly and efficiently, not to mention helps this lady’s pocketbook! I get slightly creative with breakfast using some variants, but dinner is different every night.

Sometimes I get nervous because I’m trying to cut out a lot of white processed foods, sugar and salt (I still use salt, just not a ton of it). I’m using lettuce as buns and tortillas, but before I eat it I’m praying that it won’t taste like poop. So far, so good. Everything I’ve made has tasted great so here’s to continuing to have great tasting food.
