My favorite fact about dark chocolate is that it contains tryptophan. This chemical has a hand in how many endorphins we have in our body and actually ups the production of serotonin in our brain. In plain terms, it makes us happy and is basically a natural de-stressor.
Another chemical dark chocolate contains is Phenylethylamine. This chemical releases endorphins in our brains and makes us feel the way we feel when we are head over heels in love with someone.
